Co-hosted by La Plata Electric, Empire Electric, Tri-State Generation & Transmission, Colorado Rural Electric Associations, and Colorado Association of Municipal Utilities

Home Energy Makeover Workshop & Expo goal is to provide program education with a technology exposition for consumers interested in energy/water efficiency, smart meters, demand response and renewable energy.  This event is expected to attract about 100-250 Durango-Cortez area residents as well as trade allies who provide energy-related products and services.  Presentation topics may include: weatherization/insulation, green home building/remodeling, time-of-use rates, budget billing, water heating, space heating/cooling, solar energy, windows, lighting, recycling, appliances, biodiesel, xeriscaping, etc.   Please click on house below to enlarge.


Location:
Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO will be the home for the Friday and Saturday events at the College Union Building on campus.

Format:
The Home Energy Makeover Workshop & Expo will be presented all day on Saturday, August 16 with 15-minute presentations in the same room as trade ally display tables and banners with literature tables for community groups.  Lunch, door prizes and transportation from Cortez will be provided to those who purchase Workshop tickets in advance from non-profit community groups.
